About us

Leviticus has called Lake Street home since 1995.

The first thing clients notice when they walk in is how calm and comfortable the space feels. We host a natural, Zen-like atmosphere that is approachable and easy to settle into.

We follow industry best practices for safety, technique and aftercare. Our piercing team is experienced, knowledgeable, and focused on making the process clear and easy from the moment you walk in. All members of our team including body piercers, counter staff and jewelry specialists are members of the APP (Association of Professional Piercers).

Whether you’re getting your first piercing or adding to an existing collection, we take the time to walk you through the entire process including placement and jewelry options to make well-informed decision and feel confident in what you’re receiving.

We’re intentional in everything we do. This includes the way we work with clients, the jewelry we carry, and the environment we’ve built. The shop is nearly 4,000 square feet, with hand-carved stone walls, two koi ponds, and an eclectic mix of artwork, antiquities, and rare and unusual pieces that give the space character. It feels much different than most studios, and is something that must be experienced in person.

We carry the largest selection of body jewelry in Minnesota with a wide range of unique pieces with various gold options and diverse genuine gemstones. We are happy to make a custom order for anything you don’t see in our cases.

We believe in the golden rule and do our best to treat every client the way we would want to be treated. We maintain honesty, respect, and clear communication throughout the entire process.

Our goal is to provide clean, well-executed piercings that heal properly and look great long-term, while making sure the experience feels solid from beginning to end. When clients leave Leviticus, we want them to feel confident in their decision and comfortable with the service provided while enjoying the time spent with us.

History

Leviticus opened in 1995. Our studio has been remodeled over ten times and is still ever changing. We are the longest standing studio in Minneapolis. We have the largest reference library and one of the largest jewelry selections in the state.

Art Gallery & Decor

Leviticus hosts an art gallery exhibiting paintings, prints and other artwork. We have a growing collection of oddities and plants to create a warm and welcoming environment. We have artist prints and originals for sale in the studio.

Koi Pond

We house thirteen friendly koi fish in two ponds that grace our studio. The front pond is 5 feet deep and the tattoo area pond is 6 feet deep giving them ample area to swim. They love meeting new friends. Ask our counter staff to feed them when you come visit.

We work mainly by appointment for tattoo services during the week, with walk-in availability every Saturday and Sunday. To begin the process, fill out a consultation form with the link below with as much detail as possible and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We encourage you to reach out on a weekday if you’d like to do a walk-in and we will do our best to accommodate you as our schedule allows.

Piercing

The Details

Piercing is mainly appointment based but we often have same day availability. To schedule a piercing appointment, book online with link below or call the studio during business hours. Minors must be booked under the minor section. When booking online, check your email for appointment confirmation. If you do not receive email confirmation, please contact the studio. If you have a piercing emergency and are unable to book an appointment online, please call the studio and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you are planning travel after a new piercing, we recommend calling the studio to discuss possible issues prior to booking. Altitude and environment changes can affect the healing process.

A valid, government issued ID is required for every appointment. Renewal papers are not a stand alone ID.

MINORS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO UNLESS THEY ARE RECEIVING A SCHEDULED PIERCING SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES INFANTS AND CHILDREN.
